Our Mission
The Nebraska Area Health Education Center Program (AHEC) works state-wide through regional centers to connect students to health careers, health professional to communities, and communities to better health. AHECs are created as a way in which health career training programs and communities can recruit and train health care professionals to serve in rural and underserved areas, in order to meet the state’s health and health workforce needs.
