Since 2004, the Nebraska AHEC network and the Coalition for Life Saving Cures have partnered to provide eighth-grade students across the state the opportunity to compete in regional Health and Science Meets. Students are able to learn about the scientific process, present their findings to judges, and compete for the opportunity to attend the state-wide Science Experience. In addition, students are able to learn valuable soft skills, such as problem solving, communication skills and speaking in public, self-confidence, ability to accept and learn from criticism, and working well under pressure.
